nati nel gennaio 1999, gli egin (in euskara, la lingua basca, significa "fare, agire"), propongono una musica che, ispirata dalle tradizioni popolari e folk mondiali e di euskadi in particolare, sfocia in una sorta di patchanka che spazia i generi musicali più disparati.

forti di una esperienza live che cura in particolare l'impatto sonoro e lo sprigionare di emozioni fisiche (più di 500 concerti a fianco di tonino carotone, daniele sepe, status quo, banda bassotti, perturbazione, meganoidi, gang, statuto, sud sound system, roy paci, bisca etc.), gli egin credono che la loro musica possa essere un tramite di comunicazione sincera e non filtrata da compromessi di alcun tipo; un percorso intrapreso che li porta a riconoscere quali maestri chi, secondo la loro opinione, ha sempre scelto coerentemente di anteporre le idee al business come alberto cesa dei cantovivo, il gruppo basco negu gorriak e relative diramazioni (joxe ripiau, fermin muguruza), i francesi trust e i gang.

la scelta delle liriche in italiano, basco, piemontese, spagnolo, francese ed inglese, sottolinea l'intento di considerare suoni e parole portatori di messaggi sociali ed interculturali.

attraverso la musica e ad altre attività di sensibilizzazione, gli egin si propongono di diffondere valori quali diritti umani, rispetto ambientale, antimilitarismo e antiglobalizzazione.

gli egin suonano e cantano affinchè l' 80% delle risorse mondiali non appartenga solo al 20% della popolazione.

egin, an indipendent band whose profile is rapidly growing on the national and international music scene. our music has been described as patchanka or combat folk, meaning a mixture of different musical influences and cultures. with five cds out, (ibilbide moldatu, 2000 - storia grama, 2001 - il colore delle idee, 2003 - unità popolare, 2006 - des maunet, 2009) complete with original compositions inspired by the folk roots of the euskal herria, middle east and south america, mixed up with rock aggressiveness, reggae, ska, blues, punk and with lyrics in italian, english, basque, spanish, french and piemontese and played with instruments as voice, accordion, violin, drums, guitars, flutes, kazoos...music as bearer of intercultural messages...with the experience of more than 500 live gigs, egin have a strong and growing fan base, people who got to know the band by seeing them play in small clubs, theaters, arenas, in the street and in open air festivals with bands such as status quo, cantovivo, sagarroi, daniele sepe and the gang, among others. 80% of the world's resources are in the hands of 20% of the world's, who just got richer every day, losing sight of the true meaning of life, of respect and peace. egin sing and play against that!

nés en janvier 1999, les egin (qu’en langue basque, « euskara », signifie : « faire, agir ») proposent une musique inspirée aux traditions populaires et folk mondiales et des pays basques en particulier, qui débouche en une sorte de patchanka embrassant les genres musicaux les plus divers. forts d’une expérience live qui soigne en particulier l’impact sonore et le dégagement d’émotions physiques les egin croient que leur musique puisse être un moyen de communication sincère et exempte de tous compromis ; un parcours entrepris qui les porte à reconnaître en tant que maîtres qui, à leur avis, a toujours choisi de façon cohérente de privilégier les idées aux business comme alberto cesa des cantovivo, le groupe basque negu gorriak et ses relatives branches (joxe ripiau, fermin muguruza), les français trust et les gang. le choix de proposer des textes en italien, basque, piémontais, espagnol, français et anglais souligne l’intention de considérer sons et mots porteurs de messages sociaux et interculturels. a’ travers la musique et d’autres activités de sensibilisation, les egin se proposent de divulguer les valeurs telle que les droits de l’homme, le respect de l’environnement, l’antimilitarisme et l’antiglobalisation. les egin jouent et chantent à fin que l’80% des ressources mondiales n’appartiennent pas uniquement au 20% de la population.
